Senior Digital Analyst

You're highly proficient in Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and/or CoreMetrics and have used it in a previous digital analytics role. You're interested in “Lean Startup” principles, A/B testing, and learning a whole lot very quickly. And, you are comfortable presenting your work to internal and external clients.


You have experience with tag managers and statistical tools such as: R, Python, Tableau, SPSS, etc...



The Senior Analyst will work with the Clearhead account team and our clients to identify testing opportunities, validate problems as a starting point for hypothesis development and establish appropriate KPIs. Though data analysis is your area of expertise, a unique but key aspect to our Senior Analyst role is in the client facing element; conducting and presenting hypothesis-driven analyses, assessing and making recommendations for updates to clients’ existing digital analytics platforms, recommending new analytics and testing platforms as warranted, and developing and delivering effective performance measurement dashboards.

Your Day

  • Validate problems using client data in an effort to identify areas for testing.
  • Present data to clients as the SME with regards to digital analytics and statistics.
  • Develop performance measurement dashboards for clients.
  • Collaborate with our clients to clearly establish the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and supporting metrics that matter most to their businesses.
  • Review our Client's existing analytics tools and implementation to ensure KPIs and supporting metrics are measured and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Define the measurement plan for each A/B experiment to ensure the critical metrics to telling the data-story are captured and the distracting metrics are not.
  • Monitor and make recommendations on when to stop a test or test variant.
  • Recommend and document adjustments and improvements to existing client analytics implementation where needed.
  • Deliver new web analytics solutions and implementations based on client's needs / requirements.
  • Partner with client stakeholders and internal team members on the development of testable and measurable hypotheses that will improve client's KPIs.
  • Analyze the data produced from each test run for clients.
  • Create simple, intuitive test results reports that clearly communicate the learnings gathered from each test leveraging the analysis of the test data.
  • Develop strong client relationships to achieve a ‘trusted advisor’ status in helping them achieve their digital goals.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis using client data and web analytics platforms.


  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years experience in web analytics and/or digital media analytics in an online marketing (Direct-to-Consumer) & e-commerce environment is required.
  • Expert level working knowledge of either Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics is required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff in a fast paced, results-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to communicate with both business and technical resources; particularly the skill of expressing complex issues with clarity & simplicity as it relates to client presentation.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines, in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent analytical and planning skills.
  • The affinity to see the story when look at data; going beyond simply reporting numbers.
  • Self-motivated, fast learner with the ability to operate independently.
  • Familiarity with one or more A/B or multivariate testing platforms (Google Content Experiments, Adobe Test&Target, Optimizely, Monetate, SiteSpect, etc.) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic statistics, particularly as they pertain to A/B and MV testing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Javascript or other scripting languages is preferred.
  • Love live music and / or office-dogs and / or craft beer AND most certainly well designed products.
